“Roughriders’ Last-Minute Interception Secures Thrilling Win”

The Saskatchewan Roughriders secured a thrilling 34-30 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday with a crucial interception by Tevaughn Campbell in the closing moments of the game. The interception, returned for a 112-yard touchdown, sealed the victory for the Roughriders in front of a packed crowd at Mosaic Stadium.

With this win, Saskatchewan improved their record to 9-2, placing them at the top of the CFL’s West Division, while Winnipeg’s record dropped to 6-5, placing them in third in the West.

Quarterback Trevor Harris led the Roughriders with 219 passing yards and a touchdown, while Mario Anderson scored two touchdowns. On the other side, Winnipeg’s Zach Collaros threw for 326 yards, completing three touchdowns and one interception.

The game was marked by intense back-and-forth action, with both teams making key plays throughout. The dramatic final minutes saw Campbell’s game-changing interception, turning the tide in favor of the Roughriders.

The next matchup between these two teams is set for September 6 in the Banjo Bowl, as part of a home-and-home series.
