“Human Body Part Found in Montreal River Not Criminal: Police”

On Sunday afternoon, a human body part was discovered in the Rivières-des-Prairies located in the Montreal-Nord borough. Radio-Canada has verified that the body part belonged to a man. Montreal police have stated that the man’s demise is not deemed as criminal.

Following a 911 call around 3 p.m., officers came across an inert human body part on Sunday near Drapeau Avenue, in proximity to the Pie-IX Bridge, as reported by Montreal police spokesperson, Julien Lévesque. A security perimeter was established on the same day, and an investigative team was dispatched to the scene.

Divers are scheduled to resume their search efforts in the water on Tuesday in an attempt to retrieve the remains of the 40-year-old man.
