“Stellantis Assures Minimal Impact from Data Breach”

Stellantis has reported an unauthorized breach on a service provider’s platform assisting its North American customer service operations. The company assured that the breach only exposed basic contact information and did not compromise financial or sensitive personal data. The number of affected customers has not been disclosed by Stellantis.

Upon detection, Stellantis promptly implemented its incident response procedures and is directly reaching out to impacted customers. The company has also informed the authorities and advised customers to remain vigilant against potential phishing attacks.

In recent months, global automakers have faced a surge in cyber and data breaches, attributed to increasingly sophisticated threat actors disrupting operations and jeopardizing confidential information. Earlier this month, Jaguar Land Rover experienced significant disruptions in its retail and production activities due to a cybersecurity incident, leading to factory closures until September 24.
