The Gaza Strip experienced Israeli military attacks for the fourth consecutive day on Friday, resulting in the death of three individuals according to Palestinian health officials. Despite affirming commitment to a ceasefire facilitated by U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel carried on with shelling and gunfire in northern Gaza, as reported by residents. The ceasefire, brokered by the U.S., has faced challenges as unresolved issues like Hamas disarmament and Israeli withdrawal timelines persist. Recent violence included Israeli retaliation for an Israeli soldier’s death, resulting in 104 casualties in Gaza. The Red Cross delivered 30 Palestinian bodies to Gaza Health Ministry, with Hamas handing over two hostages’ bodies. Hamas agreed to release all living hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, while Israel committed to troop withdrawal, halting offensive actions, and providing increased aid. Hamas also pledged to return all 28 deceased hostages’ remains for Palestinian militants killed in the conflict. The conflict in Gaza, spanning two years, has claimed over 68,000 Palestinian lives and devastated the region, stemming from Hamas-led attacks in 2023 that prompted Israeli military response.
