“Amber Alert Toddler Found Safe, Father Wanted in Deadly Shooting”

A toddler who went missing triggered an Amber Alert has been found unharmed, but authorities are now seeking her father in connection with a deadly shooting in Brampton, Ontario. The Ontario Provincial Police issued the alert at 5 p.m., which was later lifted after about two hours. Constable Mandeep Khatra confirmed the child’s safe recovery, mentioning that she was left with relatives.

While declining to disclose the child’s specific location, Khatra revealed that the girl’s 38-year-old father, who allegedly took her, is now wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman earlier the same day. The incident occurred at a plaza parking lot near Queen Street E. and Airport Road, where the victim was found deceased.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle with the child present in the back seat. Authorities describe the suspect as a 38-year-old male, who is considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to have left the Niagara Region, where residents were advised to take precautions.

The suspect is said to be driving a black 2024 Nissan Kicks with Quebec license plate FRV4520. Described as five foot nine, 175 pounds, with a thin build, clean-shaven, and having hazel eyes and short brown hair, he was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans while carrying a black crossbody bag.

Police urge anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward. Authorities emphasize that the suspect should not be approached, and instead, individuals should immediately contact 911 if they spot him.
