Backup QB Streveler to Start for Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats

Zach Collaros will not be playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in their upcoming game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night. Collaros is still recovering from a neck injury sustained during the team’s recent 21-13 loss to Saskatchewan. In his absence, backup quarterback Chris Streveler will be taking the starting position.

Streveler’s agility adds a new dimension to Winnipeg’s offensive strategy, complementing the running prowess of Brady Oliveira, who ranks fourth in rushing yards in the CFL. The Blue Bombers, currently holding a 6-6 record, are striving to break their two-game losing streak and maintain a winning percentage as they travel eastward.

On the other hand, Hamilton has seen an improvement in their standing, now at 7-5, after putting an end to a three-game losing streak with a convincing 26-9 win over Montreal. Greg Bell played a pivotal role in this victory, amassing 154 rushing yards and scoring a touchdown.

Additionally, the Tiger-Cats will have receiver Kenny Lawler in their lineup, marking his first game against his former team, Winnipeg, since his departure.
