“Bad Bunny Reigns Again: Spotify Wrapped Unveils Top Music Trends”

The festive season is upon us, bringing music lovers the highly-anticipated Spotify Wrapped – a detailed summary of the year’s top music trends. Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican sensation, has reclaimed his title as the most-streamed artist on Spotify for the fourth time, surpassing Taylor Swift.

Spotify recently unveiled its annual recap, offering millions of users worldwide insights into their favorite songs, artists, podcasts, and more from the past year. Despite facing some criticism from users, Wrapped has become a standout feature since its inception about a decade ago.

Chart-topping performers like Bad Bunny dominated the global music scene in 2025, amassing over 19.8 billion streams. Following Bad Bunny are renowned artists such as Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish. While Swift held the top spot in 2023 and 2024, Bad Bunny had previously enjoyed a three-year streak from 2020 to 2022.

Bad Bunny’s album “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos” claimed the title of the most-streamed album globally. The top songs included a collaboration between Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga with “Die with a Smile” leading the pack in streams.

To compile Wrapped reports, Spotify analyzes listening data from January to mid-November, excluding late November and December habits. Users need to engage with a minimum number of tracks and artists for a specified duration to qualify for top song and artist rankings.

The 2025 edition of Spotify Wrapped introduces new features such as “Top Albums,” a fan leaderboard, and a “Listening Age” feature. Users can now compare their Wrapped with others through the interactive “Wrapped Party” feature.

Artificial intelligence plays a key role in enhancing Spotify’s Wrapped experience. While AI technology is integrated across Spotify’s technical operations, human creativity remains at the core of crafting the annual recap, ensuring it reaches the platform’s vast user base.
