“Bad Bunny to Headline Apple Music Super Bowl Show”

Bad Bunny is set to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show next year, bringing his Latin trap and reggaeton style to the NFL’s grandest stage. The announcement was made by the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation during the halftime of the Green Bay Packers versus Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday night.

Expressing his emotions, Bad Bunny stated, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who paved the way for me to succeed. This is for my people, my culture, and our history.” The Puerto Rican artist, known for his chart-topping albums like “Un Verano Sin Ti,” is fresh off a successful Puerto Rico residency that drew over half a million fans and is leading the nominations at the upcoming Latin Grammys.

Jay-Z, founder of Roc Nation, praised Bad Bunny for his inspirational contributions to Puerto Rico, calling him a global ambassador for Latin music. Having won three Grammys and 12 Latin Grammys, Bad Bunny is making waves not only in the music industry but also in films and fashion.

The Super Bowl halftime show, scheduled for Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, will be co-executive produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins, with director Hamish Hamilton at the helm. NFL’s senior vice-president of global event production, Jon Barker, lauded Bad Bunny’s ability to transcend genres and languages, making him a perfect fit for the halftime stage.

Apple Music and Beats vice-president Oliver Schusser added, “His music has not only broken records but has elevated Latin music to the centre of pop culture. We know this show will be unforgettable.” Last year’s Super Bowl halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar and SZA set a record as the most-watched halftime performance in history.

Amid rumors of Taylor Swift potentially headlining the show, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell remained tight-lipped, neither confirming nor denying the speculation. Swift, who is engaged to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has been a regular presence at Chiefs games.

The anticipation is high for Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX, as fans eagerly await the spectacle he will bring to the iconic halftime show.
