“Calgary Flames Extend Goalie Dustin Wolf’s Contract for $52.5M”

The Calgary Flames have secured Dustin Wolf as their goalie for the next seven years with a contract extension worth $52.5 million in the United States, announced on Monday. Wolf impressed last season, coming in second in Calder Trophy voting for NHL Rookie of the Year. He maintained a strong record of 29 wins, 16 losses, and 8 ties, with a save percentage of .910 and a goals-against average of 2.64.

As a 24-year-old American, Wolf ranked 11th in wins and save percentage among NHL goalies during his rookie season, playing a crucial role in pushing Calgary towards a playoff spot. In addition to his performance in the NHL, Wolf stood out in the American Hockey League, earning the title of goalie of the year in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

The contract extension for Wolf will come into effect starting from the 2026-27 season and will extend through the year 2033.
