Kim Kardashian Reveals Brain Aneurysm Diagnosis

American media personality Kim Kardashian revealed that she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, as reported by U.S. media outlets. The disclosure was made during a teaser for the seventh season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” which recently premiered on Hulu. Kardashian shared that doctors discovered a small aneurysm during an MRI scan and suggested that stress might have contributed to the condition, particularly mentioning the stress she endured following her divorce from musician Ye (formerly Kanye West) in 2022.

In the teaser clip, Kardashian expressed her feelings, stating, “People think that I have the luxury of walking away. My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.” Kardashian has previously endorsed the benefits of full-body MRI scans, although some medical professionals caution that they may not be suitable for all patients, as reported by the New York Times.

It remains unclear whether Kardashian is experiencing any symptoms related to the aneurysm. Requests for comment from Kardashian’s agent, public relations representative, and attorney went unanswered.

A brain aneurysm refers to the enlargement or bulging of blood vessels in the brain, which can lead to a brain bleed if the vessels rupture, a condition also known as a hemorrhagic stroke. The Mayo Clinic notes that brain aneurysms are relatively common and are often incidental findings during diagnostic tests for other health issues, especially when they are small and typically not life-threatening.

While stress is not typically identified as a direct cause of brain aneurysms, it can contribute to elevated blood pressure, which is a known risk factor for the condition, according to Johns Hopkins.

In addition to her role as a lawyer in the Hulu series “Alls Fair,” Kardashian has dedicated the past year to completing her Law Office Study Program, a six-year commitment as part of her aspiration to become a trial lawyer, as reported by People. Earlier this year, Kardashian provided testimony in the trial of a group known as the “grandpa robbers,” who were accused of stealing millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry from her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
