“Old Dutch Foods Recalls Ridgies Chips Over Milk Allergy”

Old Dutch Foods is initiating a recall of a variant of its Ridgies chips due to an undisclosed milk allergen. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notice for Ridgies Sour Cream, Green Onion & Bacon Flavour Potato Chips, citing the potential presence of a milk allergen that is not listed on the packaging. The CFIA advised refraining from using, selling, serving, or distributing the affected product. The recalled products were sold in 200-gram packaging.

This recall is classified as “Class 2,” indicating a moderate risk of short-term or non-life threatening health issues upon consumption. The affected chips were distributed in several Canadian provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and potentially other regions.

Consumers are urged to check the best before codes on the packaging, which include 2025 NO 06, 2025 NO 07, 2025 NO 13, 2025 NO 24, 2025 NO 25, and 2025 NO 26. It is crucial to be vigilant in identifying and returning the affected products to ensure safety and prevent any health risks.
