The PWHL’s latest additions, PWHL Vancouver and Seattle, have officially unveiled their jerseys. The Bauer-designed jerseys display the respective city names stitched across the chest for both home and away games. While the teams are yet to reveal their names and logos, these will be integrated into their 2026-27 jerseys.
Vancouver’s jersey showcases a color scheme inspired by the city’s natural elements, featuring “pacific blue and cream with an earthy bronze accent.” Excitement was palpable among players like Sarah Nurse, a forward for PWHL Vancouver, as they anticipate wearing the jerseys in their upcoming games and engaging with the strong fan base in Vancouver on opening night.
Seattle’s jerseys boast colors of “deep slate green and cream with a river blue accent,” paying homage to the inaugural season of PWHL in a classic design that represents the journey leading to their presence in Seattle. The teams are set to kick off the season on November 21, with the Seattle versus Vancouver match being one of the first games scheduled.
Both teams were constructed through an expansion draft, resulting in significant losses for the existing six teams in the league, with Vancouver emerging with a robust defense line led by players like Sophie Jaques, Claire Thompson, and Mellissa Channell-Watkins. Noteworthy signings include Hannah Miller, Jennifer Gardiner, Emerance Maschmeyer, and Kristen Campbell, strengthening the Vancouver roster.
Seattle, on the other hand, boasts a mix of size and skill, potentially fielding a formidable lineup with players like Hilary Knight, Alex Carpenter, and Hannah Bilka. PWHL Vancouver will call Pacific Coliseum home, hosting matches including the season opener against Seattle, while Seattle will play at Climate Pledge Arena, also home to NHL’s Seattle Kraken and WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Seattle’s first home game will be against the Minnesota Frost on November 28.
