The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) condemned the firings, labeling them as a severe case of union busting within the gaming industry. According to a former employee, the termination process involved being escorted out of the building by security after being informed of the dismissal for violating a non-disclosure agreement. Nasr Ahmed, a staff organizer at Communications Workers of America (CWA) Canada, disputed Rockstar’s claims, asserting that no evidence was provided to support the accusations against the terminated employees. The workers’ involvement in discussions about working conditions and unionization was highlighted as a legitimate activity, not against the law.
