British comedian Russell Brand entered a plea of not guilty on Tuesday in response to fresh accusations of rape and sexual assault.
Facing existing charges related to four women, Brand refuted the new allegations during his appearance at Southwark Crown Court. The incidents in question reportedly took place in 2009, as confirmed by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Back in April, the 50-year-old entertainer was charged with two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault.
The accusations involve four women and span from 1999 to 2005, with one incident occurring in Bournemouth and three in London. Brand had previously pleaded not guilty to these charges in a London court earlier this year.

A trial is set for June and is anticipated to span four to five weeks.
A hearing is scheduled for next month to determine whether the new allegations will be connected to the ongoing case, with Brand’s legal representative requesting additional time to address the latest charges.
Upon his arrival at court on Tuesday, Brand sported a white cowboy hat and sunglasses. When asked about his feelings, Brand, who publicly declared his Christian faith in 2024, responded to reporters saying he feels “blessed.”
Brand rose to prominence on British television during the 2000s, characterized by his flamboyant persona and style, working notably as a radio host for the BBC.
