“Skate Canada Hall of Fame 2025: Virtue, Moir, Chan Lead Stellar Inductees”

Skate Canada revealed the latest group of distinguished individuals to be inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2025. This prestigious class includes the renowned duo of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, who clinched two Olympic gold medals in ice dance, as well as the accomplished three-time men’s world champion Patrick Chan.

The list of inductees also features Kaetlyn Osmond, the women’s world champion in 2018, and the pair of Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, who claimed two pairs world titles.

Hailing from London, Ont., Virtue and Moir secured gold in ice dance at both the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the 2018 Pyeongchang Games in South Korea. Their illustrious careers also include eight Canadian titles and a total of seven world championship medals.

Chan, representing Toronto, dominated the men’s world championship scene for three consecutive years from 2011 to 2013, adding to his silver medals in 2009 and 2010. He also captured silver at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and holds the title of 10-time Canadian champion.

Kaetlyn Osmond, a triple Canadian champion from Marystown, N.L., not only earned an Olympic bronze in 2018 but also secured a world championship silver in 2017.

Duhamel, from Sudbury, Ont., and Radford, from Red Lake, Ont., formed a formidable pair, clinching seven national titles, two world titles, and three Olympic medals across two Games.

Additionally, all six athletes were part of the Canadian team that clinched gold in the team event at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The class of 2025 also includes Lyndon Johnston of Hamiota, Man., who claimed a pairs silver medal at the 1989 world championships in Paris. Furthermore, longtime coaches Cynthia and Jan Ullmark and team doctor Jane Moran were honored with inductions into the Hall of Fame.
