Blue Jays standout player Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is in the running for his second consecutive Silver Slugger award. Major League Baseball announced the finalists for the prestigious awards, recognizing top offensive players at each position in both leagues. Alongside Guerrero, Toronto’s shortstop Bo Bichette and designated hitter George Springer have also been named as finalists.
The winners, determined through votes by Major League managers and coaches, excluding their own players, will be revealed on November 7. Guerrero, who secured the AL first-base award in 2021, showcased his prowess by hitting .292 with 23 home runs and 93 RBIs while striking out only 94 times in 589 at-bats.
Despite missing the final three weeks of the regular season due to a knee sprain, Bichette ranked second in the majors with 181 hits. He maintained a solid performance with a .311 average, 18 home runs, and 94 RBIs. Springer, aiming for his third Silver Slugger award and first since 2019, had an impressive resurgence in 2025. The 36-year-old achieved a career-high batting average of .309, along with 32 home runs and 84 RBIs.
The winners of the Silver Slugger awards will be announced soon, recognizing the exceptional offensive achievements of these top MLB players.
