“WNBA All-Star Game Returns to Chicago in 2026”

The WNBA All-Star Game will make a return to Chicago in 2026, set to take place at the United Center, as announced by the league on Thursday. Scheduled for July 25, the game will be accompanied by the 3-point contest and Skills Challenge a day prior, pending the negotiation and establishment of a new collective bargaining agreement. The current agreement is set to expire at the month’s end, with significant disparities between the two negotiating parties.

Expressing excitement for the event’s return to Chicago, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert stated, “The WNBA is thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly deliver unforgettable competition and community outreach.” She also mentioned, “Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the game’s brightest stars, engaging WNBA fans around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of basketball’s most iconic cities.”

In 2022, Chicago previously hosted the All-Star Game at the Wintrust Arena, the Chicago Sky’s home venue. The team has also utilized the United Center for some regular-season games, with the venue offering nearly double the seating capacity compared to the Wintrust Arena, which accommodates just over 10,000 spectators.

Adam Fox, the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Chicago Sky, expressed enthusiasm for hosting the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game, stating, “The Chicago Sky are thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago. We can’t wait to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the WNBA’s biggest stars on a world-class stage.”

The most recent All-Star Game was held in Indianapolis, where Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark missed the opportunity to participate due to a groin injury.
