Dolly Parton Delays Las Vegas Residency for Health Reasons

Dolly Parton has decided to delay her Las Vegas residency, which would have been her first in 32 years, due to health concerns. The iconic country singer made the announcement through social media, mentioning that she needs to undergo some medical procedures as advised by her doctors. Parton humorously referred to it as her “100,000-mile checkup,” emphasizing that she wants to deliver a top-notch performance for her fans who have paid to see her.

Originally scheduled for December 4 to 13 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the six shows for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas have been rescheduled to September 2026. Parton expressed her gratitude for her fans’ understanding, assuring them that she is not retiring from the industry but is heeding a call to slow down temporarily to prepare for future endeavors.

Although Parton has not been on a full-fledged tour since 2016, she has kept herself busy, with a new book titled “Star of the Show: My Life on Stage” set to be released on November 11. Additionally, a Broadway musical based on her life story is expected to debut in 2026. Despite facing recent health challenges and the loss of her husband earlier this year, Parton remains resilient and focused on her artistic endeavors.
