Bad Bunny Makes History with Grammy Album of the Year Win

Bad Bunny made history at the 68th annual Grammy Awards by becoming the first Latin artist to win the prestigious album of the year award for his album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.” The Puerto Rican singer triumphed over a competitive field that included Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse, Pusha T & Malice, Lady Gaga, Leon Thomas, and Tyler, the Creator.

Kendrick Lamar also had a remarkable night, securing five Grammy wins, including record of the year for his collaboration with SZA on the track “luther.” With these victories, Lamar now holds the record for the most Grammy wins by a rapper, surpassing Jay-Z with a total of 27 wins.

Lady Gaga had a successful evening as well, with her album “Mayhem” and hit single “Abracadabra” earning her four Grammy awards, including best pop vocal album and best dance pop recording. Gaga’s Canadian producer, Cirkut, also celebrated two wins, including producer of the year, non-classical.

Other notable winners included Billie Eilish, who claimed the song of the year award for “WILDFLOWER,” Olivia Dean who was named best new artist, and Joni Mitchell who won best historical album for “Joni Mitchell Archives, Volume 4: The Asylum Years — 1976-1980.”

The ceremony also featured performances from artists like Justin Bieber, who despite four nominations, did not win any awards. Additionally, Canadian music legend Joni Mitchell received praise for her historical album win.

The 68th Grammy Awards showcased a diverse range of talent and recognized outstanding achievements in various music genres.
