The legal action, initiated by a former security analyst at Campbell’s, claims he was terminated for reporting inappropriate behavior by the company’s vice-president and chief information security officer, Martin Bally. Allegations in the court documents include racist remarks and derogatory statements about Campbell’s products.
The plaintiff asserts that Bally made offensive comments during a salary discussion, including derogatory remarks about “Indian workers” and admitting to being under the influence of edibles while at work. Furthermore, Bally allegedly described Campbell’s products as “highly processed food” for individuals of lower economic status.
The lawsuit gained attention after the plaintiff shared a video recording of the meeting with various media outlets, in which Bally is purported to have made disparaging remarks about the company’s products. Campbell’s has not independently verified the video and Bally has yet to publicly address the allegations.
In response, Campbell’s has placed Bally on temporary leave pending an internal investigation. The company emphasized that the alleged comments do not align with their values and emphasized their commitment to producing high-quality food with trustworthy ingredients.
As the lawsuit unfolds, customers have expressed outrage on social media, with some vowing to boycott Campbell’s products. However, Campbell’s has refuted the allegations about their food ingredients and emphasized their dedication to using real chicken in their soups.

The plaintiff, Robert Garza, alleges that his termination was retaliatory for reporting Bally’s misconduct. Seeking justice, he is pursuing legal action against Campbell’s. His lawyer has highlighted the emotional toll the situation has taken on Garza and expressed determination to secure a fair outcome for his client.
