Cardi B is expressing concern over ticket sales for her upcoming performance in Hamilton, Canada. Despite her successful Little Miss Drama Tour across North America, the March 31 show in Hamilton is not selling as well as the other dates. In an Instagram story post that has since expired, Cardi B playfully warned her Canadian fans not to break her streak of sold-out shows.
The rapper mentioned that most tour dates are nearly sold out, except for the Hamilton show at TD Coliseum, where only about 80% of tickets have been sold. Ticketmaster maps show a significant number of available seats for the Hamilton date compared to limited availability for the Toronto show on March 30.
Additional tour dates in Kansas City, Chicago, and Newark also have a small number of remaining tickets. Ticket prices for the Hamilton show start at $118, while Toronto tickets are priced higher, with some resale options available for as low as $230.
Cardi B has had successful sold-out performances in various cities during the tour, with Vancouver being one of the cities that honored her call to action to maintain the sold-out streak. Despite the concerns raised by the rapper, Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath reassured that the city has a strong music culture.
Local artist Leon (Eklipz) Robinson believes that the cost of living may impact fans’ willingness to purchase tickets, despite the city’s love for hip-hop and rap music. He also suggests that the lack of advertising for the concert could be a contributing factor to the slower ticket sales. However, Robinson remains optimistic that Cardi B’s message may ultimately boost ticket sales for the Hamilton show.
Cardi B’s tour will continue with stops in Chicago and New York City before she performs in Toronto and Hamilton at the end of the month.
