“Stellantis Unveils $96 Billion Strategy: 11 New Models, Refreshed Lineup”

Stellantis unveils its ambitious $96 billion (60 billion euros) business strategy during an investor summit in Auburn Hills, Mich., promising to refresh its existing 12 North American products and introduce 11 new models. The company emphasizes allocating 60 per cent of its global investment through 2030 to North American brands and products due to significant growth potential and brand strength.

The automaker plans to launch 60 new car models worldwide, ranging from combustion engine to fully electric vehicles, and invest in technology, partnerships with other automakers, and optimizing manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, 50 models are set to undergo substantial upgrades.

Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, emphasizes the importance of expanding hybrid offerings and introducing new pickup trucks, a small van, and seven “affordable” vehicles in the North American market. The company aims for a 25 per cent revenue increase in North America by 2030, targeting an adjusted operating income margin of eight to 10 per cent.

Tim Kuniskis, responsible for the North American brands portfolio, underscores the growth potential of Jeep, Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler in various market segments. Stellantis plans to enhance market coverage from 60 to 90 per cent in North America while enhancing cost competitiveness.

The company intends to save $4.8 billion (3 billion euros) within its North American operations by 2028. Stellantis looks to enhance its brand portfolio focus on Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, Fiat, and the commercial vehicle unit Pro One. The strategy includes transforming unused factory capacity into a revenue-generating contract manufacturing business for Chinese automakers in Europe and other partners.

Stellantis is committed to investing in global platforms, powertrains, and new technologies, targeting 6 billion euros in annual cost savings by 2028. In Europe, the company anticipates a 15 per cent revenue growth with an adjusted operating income margin ranging from three to five per cent.
