Flavor Flav Joins USA Bobsled and Skeleton Squad

At 66 years old, Flavor Flav hit speeds of 106 kilometers per hour, sparking his interest in sliding sports. The iconic musician, reality TV personality, and founding member of Public Enemy has become a fervent supporter of the United States bobsled and skeleton program. Recently named the official hype man for USA Bobsled and Skeleton, Flav expressed his excitement during his time with the teams at the 2002 Olympic track in Utah.

Flav, whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., embraced the opportunity to experience bobsledding and skeleton firsthand. Despite initial safety precautions recommending a lower starting point on the track, Flav insisted on starting higher up, showcasing his fearless approach. Ultimately, he achieved speeds of up to 108 km/h on his second run, impressing team members with his natural talent for the sport.

Known for his energetic presence and support for various sports events, Flav has been a familiar face at Super Bowl festivities and other high-profile sporting occasions.
