Prince Harry is set to make a visit to Toronto this week to show support for veterans in preparation for Remembrance Day. The Duke of Sussex will be in the city on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday morning, he will participate in various engagements before attending a private lunch hosted by the True Patriot Love Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting Canadian military members, veterans, and their families. In the evening, Prince Harry will be present at a fundraising dinner for the HALO Trust, a charity that was also championed by his late mother, Princess Diana.
The following day, Prince Harry will have a private visit with residents at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. Later in the evening, he is scheduled to attend True Patriot Love’s national tribute dinner. The organization did not provide any comments regarding the royal’s participation in the events.
Prince Harry, a 41-year-old military veteran, served in the British army for 10 years, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He is no longer a working member of the Royal Family, having relocated to the United States in 2020 with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. Before settling in California, the couple briefly resided in Canada.
In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals. Buckingham Palace later confirmed that they would not resume their former duties as working members of the Royal Family. Prince Harry, the son of King Charles, is fifth in line to the throne, with his brother Prince William being first in line, followed by William’s children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
