Soccer sensation Delaney Baie Pridham, known as DB, has clinched the prestigious title of Northern Super League player of the year. The Ottawa Rapid striker not only secured the forward of the year title but also bagged the golden boot award for scoring the highest number of goals, totaling 18 throughout the season.
Pridham, who holds dual Canadian-American citizenship and hails from northern California, dominated the NSL charts by leading in both total shots with 83 attempts and shots on target with 42 successful hits. Her remarkable performance included achieving the league’s first hat trick back in June.
Joining Pridham in the spotlight is Ottawa’s Jyllissa Harris, who was recently honored as the NSL defender of the year. The duo, along with defender Olivia Scott and midfielder Min A Lee, earned well-deserved spots in the league’s esteemed “team of the year.”
Despite finishing as runners-up in the six-team league, the Rapid displayed an impressive record of 11 wins, eight losses, and six draws, accumulating 39 points from 25 matches. They are now gearing up to face off against the Vancouver Rise in a crucial home-and-away semifinal series set to take place next week.
